Brazilian Celso Machado was born into a family of musicians—he describes his childhood as a continuous musical jam session—and began performing in street bands at the age of seven. He’s a prolific composer, writing music of infectious melodic and rhythmic appeal. (This recording is a duet in which I play both parts.)
