This cheerful little piece is a perennial favorite among guitarists. In fact, it’s one of the pieces that first drew me to the classical guitar. Not surprisingly, the music of Gaspar Sanz has proven popular among non-guitarists as well. Twentieth century composers Ottorino Respighi and Joaquín Rodrigo both used melodies by Sanz in their own works.
